ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Julia Perez and I’ve been instructing children for the past six years in varying capacities.
I’ve been a Lego engineering/stop motion/robotics instructor for after school programs for several years and taught children aged from preschool through elementary school.
I’ve also had experience as a private tutor in subjects such as math, science, and history. I'm an active teacher for The Arbor Learning Community teaching classes such as Discovering Physics and Coding and Game Design. I’ve also acted as a temporary substitute high school physics teacher for Star Homeschool Academy and have been an avid swim instructor and lifeguard for the past several years and taught classes that ranged from infants to adults. I now work as a Pool Manager for the City of Orange.

Starting this fall, I will be teaching several core school subjects through Sage Oak Charter School as a Community Provider.
I graduated from California State University Fullerton Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Public Administration.

Science Tutoring

Science explains and reveals the world around us in the most amazing ways. I am dedicated to hands on learning and the development of lab writing skills and analysis. The science curriculum is catered to the grade level and needs of the student and can include subjects such as life science, physical science, physics, and human anatomy.
Math Tutoring
$35/hr
The true appreciation and love for math comes through application. I strive to always make the math curriculums relatable to my students and have them realize that they interact with math every day! Each session is catered to the needs and grade of the student so as to give them the most optimal opportunity to learn. Math tutoring services include Algebra 1.5 and all lower levels.
Writing
Tutoring

Writing and reading go hand in hand and I strive to encourage growth in the skills of grammar usage, spelling, literary analysis, creative writing, and reading comprehension.
Swim Lessons
$25/30 min
From a Parent and Me class to getting your child ready to join a club swim team, I am equipped to give your child a safe and fun aquatics learning experience! I can teach your child all 5 swimming strokes, diving techniques, wall turns, how to float, and much more!
